Hotel Review: San Sebastian, Spain

One of our favorite destinations in the beauty country side of Spains coast is the famous town of San Sebastian.

Lasala Plaza boasts one of the city's best locations, perched right on La Concha bay. This affords easy access to both the beach and the city centre, as well as amazing views of one of Europe's most beautiful beaches. Although it is within the walls of the Old Town, the namesake plaza it perches on is a peaceful and quiet corner.

The hotel one must take in and experience the Basque culture is the Lasala Plaza. This namesake hotel is housed in a building from 1917, was gutted and totally renovated in wood, copper, marble and seawater tones resulting in one of the city’s most stylish places to stay. A spectacular wall-mounted sculpture welcomes guests — 13 copper and wood 'oars', a reference to the important tradition of rowing.

We love everything about this marvelous hotel which is ideal at this time of year to capture the essence of all that Spain has to offer.
