CHANELS NEW BOUTIQUE OPENING, NYC

Standing tall on 57th street, the glowy new Chanel flagship has officially opened. Designed by architect Peter Marino in his latest collaboration with the fashion house, the boutique will be the largest of the brand's stores in the United States.

The shop will offer a multitude of limited edition pieces, including a 2.55 handbag and wallet with iconic New York-inspired charms, two one-of-a-kind 11.12 handbags in red or black alligator with diamond encrusted hardware, a steel Code Coco watch with diamond-set bezel and mirror dial, and the new scent, Les Exclusifs de Chanel 1957, created by Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge.

The sculpture, designed by Jean-Michel Othoniel, extends down a central staircase within the store.

On the second floor is the shoe salon, complete with a custom Goossens chandelier.
